“Natyakala Chudamani “, “Natya Kalai Arasu” , “Kalaimamani” Thanjai A. Hemanath (Faculty of Tamilnadu Government Music College) Retired, Who belongs to the family that for generations nurtures Thanjavur Baani (Thanjai Style) of the Bharathanatyam Art which is the most distinguished dance form of South India, the oldest Tamil Heritage, His parents late “Kalaimamani” Thanjai Arunachalam and “Kalaimamani” Jayalakshmi Arunachalam both were the faculty member in Tamilnadu Government Music college. Kalaimamani Thanjai A. Hemanath trained hundreds of students as dancers and Nattuvangam exponents. Most of the students are now professional dancers and dance teachers in India and abroad. He directed and choreographed several dance dramas like Ramayanam, Shakuntalam Astha-Ma-Shakthi, Sreenivasa Kalyanam, Kalaimamani Thanjai A. Hemanath and his wife Natyakalamani Smt., Mallika Hemanath are the Directors of Sri Shanmuganandha Bharathanatya Palli.
